We tried to beat classy King's Drama in the Grade 2 Red Smith with two horses: Dreadnaught at 9-2 and Rousing Victory at 9-1. Not a good idea. Price saved us on place finisher Rousing Victory, but Dreadnaught was third at 7-1. The Rousing Victory exacta with 7-10 King's Drama was a worthy $20.60, a winning play, and if you used these three in the trifecta (not suggested in the analysis), your aggressiveness was rewarded with a trifecta worth $75.50, excellent value in a 7-horse field.
On Sunday, Imagine It was scratched; another no play.
